Bible is a Keystone for Faith.

Welcome! Did you know the Bible has about 700,000 to more than 800,000 words (depending on the translation)? That's a lot of words, which is precisely why reading the Bible can look overwhelming. However!

Think of it this way - God has gifted us that large number of words in order to help us know Him, love Him, and serve Him. We don't have to guess or wallow around in perplexity wondering who He is and what He wants for our lives and in our lives.

This is why we read it, memorize verses, become familiar with the people God used, and apply it to every problem we face.

It can, of course, be read just for information and knowledge. Genesis explains creation. Proverbs give teachings on how to conduct business. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John tell about Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. Acts tells of the apostles and the early church in history.

But, is that all? Is it only a book of stories and events? Absolutely not.

The stories and events contain people like us -

  • who procrastinate, or know what's right, but don't do it,
  • who sometimes make poor choices,
  • who are selfish and want our own way,
  • who think God can be manipulated,
  • who think God is here to serve us and not the other way around,
  • who forget that God is holy.

And you see just how much God loves people and nations as He used many types of people in His plans:

  • business people,
  • military people,
  • agricultural workers,
  • students,
  • officials of government and justice,
  • artists, writers, textile workers, musicians,
  • kings and queens,
  • as well as those often unseen, unloved, forgotten.

So the Bible is for you and me. And God is still using people like you and me in His plans to bring His kingdom to this earth.

Therefore, the Bible is one of three 'keystones' found in Keystones for Faith books. Use the books for learning, for memorization, and for thinking about and applying the Bible to your own life.

All that is essential is a Bible. But if you'd like help remembering more and using the Bible in your day-to-day living, then our books are an option I hope you'll try and enjoy. Check out a sample of the contents of our first book, Rocks & Minerals, here.
